Curious about course requirements? Our certifications? Want to know more about our enrolment process? Our FAQ covers it all. We’re here to help aspiring chefs from around the world begin their culinary careers with confidence.

Everything You Need to Know

Is the certificate internationally recognised?

Yes, students on our short courses and intensive weekend programmes earn a certificate of completion from The Food School and the respective partner school (ALMA, Tsuji, or Dusit Thani for Italian, Japanese, or Thai Cuisine, respectively). Dedicated Certificated Courses provide certification from the partner school and a certificate by The Office of The Private Education Commission (OPEC), compliant with international food safety and sanitation standards.

Not at all! Our long courses are designed to accommodate all skill levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience in the kitchen, all we need is your passion and we’ll guide you through harnessing it into your career, every step of the way.

Not exactly. Our students come from various backgrounds and have different levels of knowledge in each cuisine. We don’t require students to have a specific amount of understanding to enrol, and we welcome all students to join.

Italian, Thai, and Japanese cuisine courses are taught in English, Thai, and Japanese, respectively, with interpreting services available in English and Thai upon request.

Whether you’re looking to kick-start your career or upgrade your cooking skills, we’ve got the right course for you. Take this short quiz to find out which one suits you best!

We designed our curriculum through a competency-based not quality-based system so that you’ll gain the most extensive training per cuisine. This means that when you register for a certain programme, you’ll focus on that cuisine to master it first. If you want to enrol on our other programmes, we recommend that you enrol once you complete your current programme or register for our Personalised Course.

Of course! Our Admissions Team is always on standby to support you in booking a personalised school tour whenever you want. Not sure which course to take? Take a leisurely stroll through our school with our curriculum advisors to discover the perfect culinary or pastry programme that suits you most.

Absolutely! No matter where you’re from, we’re excited to help you start your culinary journey at The Food School Bangkok. You have the fun, we’ll handle the rest—our team is ready to assist you with any additional steps, such as visa requirements, to ensure a smooth enrolment process.

Our close connections with the culinary industry mean our students are never far from the grasp of modern gastronomy. While job placements are not guaranteed, we offer career guidance and networking opportunities within the culinary industry.

The cost of our short and long courses depends on the length of the programme and whether you are a local Thai or international student. Long courses (Intensive Weekend Programmes and Certificated Courses) also include a uniform fee. Ingredients and materials are included in all programmes. We offer a 0% instalment plan for up to 10 months on credit card payments. For detailed pricing, check our brochure.
