‘The Food School Bangkok,’ in partnership with ‘Mitr Phol’ and ‘Betagro,’ launches the ‘Future Chef of the World 2024’ project seeking chef aspirers and offering full scholarships for professional culinary courses valued at over 1.8 million baht

‘The Food School Bangkok,’ a multi-national culinary institution nestled in the heart of Bangkok, proudly affiliated with ‘Dusit International,’ has joined hands with two esteemed organisations: ‘Mitr Phol Sugar Corporation Company Limited ,’ Thailand’s major sugar producer and the world’s third-largest company, and ‘Betagro Public Company Limited’ or ‘BTG,’ a leading integrated food company in Thailand dedicated to enhancing the quality of life through sustainable food solutions.

Together, the three organisations embark on the ‘Future Chef of the World 2024’ project, a mission to discover passionate cooking enthusiasts and provide them with full scholarships for Certificated Courses in Culinary and Bakery Arts. These scholarships, worth over 1.8 million baht, will empower five deserving individuals to study at The Food School Bangkok. This collaborative effort is a substantial investment in nurturing and recruiting top-tier culinary talents, with a shared vision of enhancing the culinary industry, both locally and globally.

At The Food School Bangkok, their ambition is to become a culinary education hub, committed to shaping professional chefs and food entrepreneurs through Certificated Courses developed in collaboration with globally-renowned partner institutions, including ALMA – The School of Italian Culinary Arts from Italy, Tsuji Culinary Institute from Japan, and Dusit Thani College from Thailand. Notably, they proudly lead as the first culinary school in Thailand to introduce competency-based education, focusing on honing individual capabilities. This innovative approach empowers their students to apply their culinary knowledge, setting them on a path to become adept professionals within the culinary industry.

Regarding the eligibility criteria for participants in the ‘Future Chef of the World 2024’ project, individuals must be between 18 to 40 years of age, of Thai nationality, and have not experienced over 180 hours of certified culinary and bakery courses or previously worked as a professional chef.
